How did we start?
Well, the story begins with me visiting multiple expos. Every year I would attend at least 20 expos across categories of products. In one such art & culture expo organised by the Government of India, I met Tulsi, a tribal artist hailing from Madhya Pradesh. I was intrigued by her work on the Gond style of painting. Moreover, she was exhibiting her artwork on experimental mediums like T-shirts and apparel. In the same stall, her brother and his family were also present to sell their art. I was inspired and wanted one of my walls art by a Gond artist. So we kept in touch. After few weeks, Tulsi's brother Anil stayed with us for three days and painted a mural. His work was magnificent. But the pandemic had a heavy impact on the family's livelihood. I was trying to help the family monetarily though it was not a sustainable solution for them. Instead, Anil came up with this brilliant suggestion, if I could help him sell his art. That's where the magic happened, and soon plans got drafted to relaunch GreenFlip.
